Led by Jess Vivier, founder and CEO with over 30 years of experience in ethical and cosmetic pharmaceuticals, Vivier Pharma's mission is to provide medical grade skincare solutions for the treatment, maintenance, and protection of the skin.

 

What did you do professionally before this venture, and how did you end up here?
I have always been an entrepreneur at heart. Throughout my professional career, I had the opportunity to work in sales and marketing for some large international pharmaceutical companies, but I always knew that my path would lead me to start my own company. Then, when the opportunity was right, I pursued my passion for helping people through skin care. It started with an interest in Vitamin C. After reading clinical studies showing that L-Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) was a star anti-aging antioxidant, but almost impossible to stabilize, I found my match. I sought out to learn more. One of my friends (who still is our formulator today) and I worked on a way to stabilize Vitamin C. It took three years of R&D, and many, many different formulations, before we were able to patent our Vitamin C serums. Vivier Pharma started by selling two serums: a Serum 5 and a Serum 10, and we now have a whole pipeline of products that we sell to general practitioners, dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and skin care specialists across Canada, the United States, Mexico, South America, the Middle East, and Asia.

First and foremost, our VivierSkin, VivierSkin Platiné, and SkinTx brands are all about delivering visible results, and helping change peoples' lives. We are very passionate in everything that we do, and our energy is fuelled by learning about the lives we touch. We want our consumers to feel good and look good! Everything we do is about delivering visible results. Our products are developed, manufactured, and tested at pharmaceutical standards, which are the highest standards to deliver results and quality products. Quality and results are at the core of our brand. We are also very proud to be a Canadian company one of the only Canadian players in the skin care industry.

Who best benefits from your products?
Anyone who is looking for visible results and protection from aging, dark spots, rosacea, and acne can benefit from our products! Vivier Pharma is proud to bring to the market our VivierSkin, VivierSkin Platiné, and SkinTx brands. Across these brands, we have products that address all skin types: redness, oily or acne-prone skin, dry, sensitive skin, hyperpigmentation (dark spots), and aging skin.

Going into the future: what inspires you?
I am always inspired by people. I spend a lot of time talking with doctors and patients. My goal is to understand their needs, so we can come up with products to answer them. We want to grow, and constantly innovate.

What other brands and companies do you admire? Why?
I admire companies and brands that are innovative, have original ideas, and deliver on their promises. I talk with a lot of people from different industries, and try to incorporate different things to our industry. For example, I have a nephew who works in the forestry industry. In speaking to him, I learned all about the Sustainable Forestry Initiative program. The Sustainable Forestry Initiative is an independent, charitable organization that promotes sustainable forest management across North America, and responsible fiber procurement globally. That inspired us to upgrade all of our outer packaging to be SFI certified. We strive to do our best in sustaining the worlds green initiatives.
