Hey guys, I have very fine and slightly sparse eyebrows. Has anyone tried eyebrow tattooing? Results?

My sister had a it done. Her brows look very nice. She had the "feathering" technique done on her so it looked a lot more natural.

I've done it twice. Go for those that tatoo individual strands (the feathering effect Lammie mentioned) of the the brow. It looks more natural.

I've heard that this isn't FDA approved.

I don't know if I will cause disturbances by saying this... so warning to you. My grandma had it done and it's great, but.. She went to a funeral of someone she knows who has also gotten eyebrow tattoo when she was alive. According to my gradma, the dark eyebrows looked very odd against the pale skin and didn't think it looked very nice...
So if you are seriously thinking of getting one, perhaps semi-permanent is the way to go! Also, keep in mind eyebrow shapes change with trend.
Sorry if I disturbed you :( |

go for the natural look instead of by trend and you should never go wrong.quote: Originally posted by jyp_tina

Interesting, I've never really considered tattooing my eyebrows. I'd be interested in seeing pictures of people who've had this done. If anyone knows of links, please share.

I've had mine done and I wish I hadn't done it. I have black hair so I got them tattooed black. After a year or so, they started to look bluish grey ( horrible ) so I went somewhere else and she tried correction by going over them with a dark brown colour. That stopped the bluish grey but honestly....you have to get them retouched every year for them to stay looking normal. I'm using Revitabrow on them now and I'm hoping that they will grow in very thickly and cover up the tattooing that was done on them. If you want an honest opinion I'd say don't do it.

My mom and aunt have had it done before. It looks a bit odd right after it's done (really dark) , but after a little while, the color fades and it looks a lot better.

My friend had it done and her brows look great. I would suggest getting a shade lighter than your hair colour.
