I'm in Edmonton, and man oh man did we get crushed by the white stuff. We had such a mild October/November, mid-November, we had a couple of days where the temperature was +17C!!! We got like 20-23cm of snow friday-saturday...it snowed non-stop on friday. I had to go out for physio, and unfortunately, I don't drive a Hummer, so it was difficult to get through. Even the main roads were still covered; the snow was powdery on the roads, so whenever we would come to a stop, it takes a bit of time & technique to get "unstuck" from the snow. Whatever happened to El Nino?? I would like nothing more than a snow-free Christmas!!! It is currently -18C with windchill of -26C... |

OMG! That's terrible! We're getting snow in the next few days in the Southern Ontario area. It's also getting cold here -- but nothing to compared to what you're experiencing. What kind of jacket are you wearing to battle the cold?! My parents bought me a Canada Goose jacket for this winter. I get cold VERY easily. Like anything below 3 degrees, I need to carry a hot water bottle bag with me around the house... I don't think I could ever survive in Alberta..... |

I wear those big marshmallow jackets! It's down-filled obviously, but you know, I don't like wearing long coats, and even with these temperatures, I don't always wear a hat/cap. I might have my scarf higher up and cover my nose/mouth area, other than that, I won't wear touques or ear muffs or anything like that...and yes, I survive Alberta winters like that!! It's a very dry cold here Sinsin, I'm originally from Toronto, and I used to complain how Torontonians were whining about temperature of -15C, b/c we'd always be at -35C...but honestly, the humid cold in Ontario is bone-chilling cold!!! The dry cold is like having blades go across your skin...not sure if that's any better, but yeah!! LoL |

I don't know what I would do without my North Face jacket, 180 earmuffs and my Hush Puppies boots. I can't wait for all of this to be over. I'm so not made to live in Canada. :(

| Oh welcome to the Canadian winter scene ludex! LoL We still have like 20 feet of snow outside, windchill of -40C, blowing snow. You'd think I have seen this before, but yesterday I saw what frozen fog looks like for the first time. |

YAY! We are finally out of that cold snap!!! And we have blue sky to boot! Now I hope we just stay below the zero mark - so our roads aren't messy and slushy!
P.S I did knock on wood - do not want to jinx this!!
