| I think they're just like face primers, and are meant to coat the lashes for better mascara application?? The only one I have ever tried is Estee Lauder's Lash Primer Plus, it says its a full treatment formula. Well, I should say I have tried Prescriptives too. With that said, I'm not a huge fan, b/c I actually don't like applying mascara on a regular basis, and to have to do it twice with the primer is just too tedious. Plus, I notice that even with waterproof mascara, the primer kinda took that aspect away from it, and the mascara rubbed off easily, it was all over the under-eye area. |

| I've heard that Shiseido has the best one - it's a conditioner/primer. |

I'm not a big fan of eyelash primers, just because the formulation tend to make my eyelashes de-curl after I curled it. And people say it's not good to curl them after mascara just because you are risking damaging them further.
Is that what you meant though Ludexbebe....conditioner = primer?
So I read this article on how this asian lady tried Lilash and it caused her so much irritation. Because she had short thick straight eyelashes, when it grew, it kept poking her eyeball. Scary! |

| hmm i wasnt thinking so much as primer. more like conditioning/moisturizing your eyelashes. a friend of mine used to use some just for that and she also said it strenghtens her eyelashes from breaking. i cant recall what brand or whatever.. :( |

| Yeah, the eyelash growth stuff...I mean, it's just beyond stupid! "Some rare, but serious side effects include blackening of the eyelid"...I'll never forget the first time I heard/saw that, my reaction was "Oh please, let me try it QUICK!" |

| Sorry forgot to write that I have heard of lash conditioners but I don't recall the brand either. I think lash conditioners seem to be disappearing now that there are lash growers that claim to condition, strengthen, and give you length. |

My aunt used one of the eyelash grower and w/in 2 weeks of using it, she kept on getting corneal ulcers. She doesn't know if it's b/c of the grower or she kept on aggressively rubbing her eyes while she slept...

Oh dear! That's a horrible reaction. Another reason not to use lash growers. Is your aunt better now?
I was reading a blog the other night and the girl was saying how since she stopped using Lilash, some of her eyelashes has started to fall off and the new ones that are growing aren't as long or quickly as the ones prior when using the product. So for a hefty price, you have to keep on using it just for long lashes. Definitely not worth the price or risk in my books. |

omg, that's terrible! Yeah, my aunt can't ever wear contacts again. Her eye has become very sensitive. She did see an ophthalmologist and he said that it might be an allergic reaction from using the lash grower, but he can't confirm that it is. All he did say is for my aunt to stop using the lash grower and let her eyes go back to normal.
Btw, sorry for my previous post. So many grammatical errors. must make a mental note to reread what I wrote. |

| My eyelashes were getting brittle after the use of Blinc's Kiss mascara. I mix it up now and use a variety of mascaras. Talika's eyelash conditioner helped a lot. Talika says it will grow your eyelashes. That didn't happen. They did seem thicker but that was the conditoning. I couldn't use this for long periods since it is heavy and my eyes were too greased up. Forget about using it twice a day. That was just too much. The product I used came in a little blue pot not the wand version. |

The thing that really worries me is that the chemical used in many enhancers is said to affect eyesight, as tempting as it might be to have naturally glamorous lashes as my only attempt at false lashes ended up looking a dead spider.
I have to wonder if anyone has side effects. Didn't a few of the formulas change to make them safer? It would be lovely, but I have to put my eyesight first.
I've read olive oil is a good conditioner. I usually just clean my eyes with cotton balls and water. The eye doctor told me that baby shampoo, water and cotton balls are the best way to clean eyes so wonder if baby shampoo with conditioner, might answer your question. (I use it to keep my makeup brushes in good shape.)
The only time I condition is when I used an eye makeup remover or with conditioners in it, but some of these new lash conditioners are intriguing...
