I loved your review! Though I bought the clarisonic before watching it. Currently I am trying to convince my friends to buy the Clarisonic but it's taking some convincing. So I will definitely just send them your link!

Thanks sinsin! I think if the price was lower, people would definitely want to purchase it. But at least they have the travel size that is significantly cheaper than the classic and plus.
Glad you are enjoying it as well! |

I just ordered the Clarisonic Pro. I'm so excited. I can't wait until my package arrives. |

| I think you're right fiona...the price is what's preventing me from buying it. I always walk into Sephora, and I ALWAYS head towards the Clarisonic, turn it on and feel it on the back of my hand...and I always come really close to buying it, but in the end, I refrain. I'm never sure if it's really worth it?! |

Funny you should ask...I actually mention it in one of my videos the difference b/w the two: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lk0N3xM0q8
Coffeebean: You can buy the Mia here for relatively cheaper since you have the forum discount. But if you want to buy it in person, I know they sell it at Holt Renfrew. |

I, myself, am using the pro and really loving it! I got my sister the mia since the pro is no longer available here. I am a huge fan of the clarisonic, but I must admit that I'm glad I got the pro for myself instead of the mia -- though the mis would be great for traveling. I just love how it beeps to tell me when to move on to the next area on my face, and I like how I can adjust the speed -- I only use two different speeds though, depending on the condition of my skin. But any clarisonic is better than no clarisonic! |

I guess I don't miss the features of the pro because I'm satisfied with the Mia. It would be like downgrading from a BMW to a Ford (hopefully I didn't offend anyone).
I've pretty much gotten used to not having the beeps and timing the use on my face now. |

Fiona...I guess I put the question in the "Tanda/Clarisonic" thread...too lazy to type it here again LoL
I think personally, if I were to get it, I'd go full out with it-- I will not be satisfied with the miniature version or the most basic one, etc. |

It was between that and the new version for me, and rather than wait I went with the mia. I don't really need all the beeping, and was sold when I found out it was also waterproof. The mia's warranty is only for a year, while the others are for two. I like that it easier to travel with, plus the hundred dollars is something I could put towards the tanda. (I got the pro version there because it works out to be a much better deal with the extra surface area and lasting an extra 4 thousand hours.)
I was just a little too impatient to wait for the more expensive version and I like to save when I can. I had a choice between philosophy's makeup optional set which would be gone in a few months or the mia which I'll still have years (hopefully) to come. It takes the same brushes, and after seeing enough youtube video of real people with exquisite complexions I was convinced it could work just as well and save me quite a few dollars. The speed seems about right. If I truly love it I may upgrade to the pro one day though. I like that it is a little smaller and less bulky to hold.

p.s. The other thing that convinced me is the ratings on makeup alley. More people said they would purchase the mia again (was it 92 percent?) if given the chance, than would for the pro version although both were rated very highly. Reviews on Sephora for the pro seemed just a bit more ecstatic than for the mia, but as a friend in marketing pointed out to me there tends to be a impulse among buyers to legitimize it when they spend more money on a given object... so from marketing psychology's point of view extra enthusiasm would make sense, and even be predictable... although I have to admit all the reviews calling it the next best thing to a miracle for your face did a lot to sway me.
In this day and age you have to wonder about many reviews as companies have on occasion been known to pay writers to post in forums etc (you can usually tell by the writing style if it's the same person posting under different names), but there were so many positive reviews and they seemed to be genuine. Youtube videos posted by people who real costumers (and not paid actresses) with beautiful skin convinced me. |

YouTube videos sometimes can be misleading especially with the camera. I know that for a fact since my macbook pro camera always makes my face look flawless when it really isn't.
I prefer reading reviews on makeupalley compared to company websites because those tend to be screens and bias.
You also have to take note the number of reviews when looking at ratings/percentages giving on certain products. That way you know the skew and distribution. |

Don't disillusion me! I think we are all harder on ourselves than the rest of the world. I know I'm a little near sighted which means I can see every little detail and flaw. It can be useful in things like painting to a point, but there's a point when I have to stand back from the easel to get a fresh look.
Maybe we should see ourselves with that old hollywood vaseline on the screen fuzzy effect... now and then. Now everything is high def.
